In the vicinity of this minaret, there are remaining thick walls that indicate the existence of facilities such as a caravanserai, a mosque and so on.
This Brick minaret is like a tower that was used as a path-finding guide for caravans along the path to the ancient city of Shapur Khast. Shapur Khast is the old name of a city that was built in the current place of Khorramabad. In the past, many caravans have found their way through this minaret and have seen the enemy on top of it and made people aware of the danger of attack.
