ShahreKord Museum of Archaeology
Archaeological Museum of ShahreKord is housed in Parhizkar Traditional Bath. It is constructed by Abolghasem Khan Azadeh Chaleshtori and is a historical complex remained from Qajar dynasty. Parhizkar Bath was a twin bath for men and women and consists of different sections such as fuel storage, entrance, stables, some shops, but unfortunately due to unfavourable urban developments, some parts of this bath have been completely destroyed. This bath had seven-colour tiled portals, but after the destruction, a brick wall was built with a traditional look.
The building now functions as Shahrekord Archaeological Museum and exhibits ancient objects more than 9,000 years old. Most of these objects are stone and bone made tools with delicately carved figures dating back to the Neolithic period. This museum also displays containers decorated with black geometric patterns that belong to the fourth and fifth millennia BC. Archaeology Museum was registered on September 21, 1998, with the registration number of 2112 as one of the national heritages of Iran.
