History
South Khorasan province was split from great Khorasan in 2004.
Geography
South Khorasan province has a border with Afghanistan on the east and neighbors Sistan & Baluchistan, Kerman, Yazd, Isfahan and Razavi Khorasan.
Climate
The climate of this province is arid and it suffers from water scarcity. Autumn is a good time to visit this province, especially when Saffron is harvested.
